roter punkt roter punkt
Roter punkt is an independent label from Berlin dedicated to ambient electronica. Founders Jette von Roth and Mijk van Dijk are no strangers to eclectic electronic music. Von Roth has made a name for herself with her vocal performances with German bands Schiller and KayCee. Van Dijk was one of the first German musicians to release ambient tracks in 1992 and has been a fixture in the German house and techno scene ever since. Now the two team up to realise their visions of electronica on their own platform.

Schiller-collaborator Jette von Roth presents the first release on her own label, co-run by Mijk van Dijk. 'Meer' is smooth album of sparse and tranquil electronica with a neo-classical feel. Pleasant but never overly eager to please, this is a promising debut.
