input - output inc. input - output inc.
The input - output inc. saga begins in Stockholm in 1998 when Cynthia Stern decided to organise a collective from the DJs and musicians around her. This resulted in Cynthia meeting Tobias von Hofsten and the put the first i-o-inc release together - the split EP 'I Love My 808', which received much attention worldwide and was licensed to Dave Clarke's 'World Service' compilation. Through this release Cynthia met Brighton-boys Ibrahim Alfa (a.k.a. Gameboy) & Tobias Schmidt who started contributing to the label. It was around this time Subhead got into the picture and Phil (DJ Sueme) recorded his last EP for i-o-inc before he sadly passed away. Input - output inc is a label been a label known to take it slow, putting quality before quantity and maybe that's why its known as one of the finest experimental techno labels around, releasing music by the people like Neil Landstrumm, Bill Youngman, Si Begg, Dave Tarrida, Tobias Schmidt, and many more.
