caravan caravan
Part of the Multiverse label family, Caravan intends to blur the boundaries of contrasts, like man vs. machine or technology meets nature. It's about being able to move freely within a confined space where only your surroundings change, thus creating different views for ones state of mind... To put it simply, organic techno.

Emptyset raid their vaults to compile an album of early recordings: Eight tracks (four of them unreleased) of sparcely instrumented, cold and spacious techno that make 'Trace: 2005-2009' a must for fans of Säkho, Sandwell District, or the Prologue's label output. Highly recommended.

Two more remixes of emptyset & Cornelius Harris' 'Altogether Lost', the grungy original of which recently came out via Chris Liebing's CLR imprint. Scuba delivers a nicely pulsating big room techno take under his SCB moniker, while Peverelist adds subtle grooves and eerie strings. Recommended.

Bristol's genre-defying producer Julian Smith a.k.a. October releases another gem on his own, highly recommendable Caravan imprint: 'Flat Top Muscle' is bleepy reductionist techno in a Dan-Bell-meets-Sleeparchive kinda way, while 'Memory Man' delves into deeper waters with distinct hints of dubstep.
