Dutch DJ and producer talent Sandrien concocts 'Haters' a delirious synth-splitting, refreshingly colourful slice of dark techno, propelling by its razored bassline. Berghain resident Marcel Fengler wrangles it into a veritable beast of quaking cinematic proportions. Ace.

One of this month's surprise releases has Irish producer Ian O'Donovan launch a new electro project, Chromezone. His two original tracks are dense and melodic affairs with plenty of strings, chords and full 808 grooves, while Dexter complements this with a more stripped-down version of the title track. Outstanding.

Darko Esser has definitely arrived in the premier league of European techno with 'Balans', his stunning debut album. The Dutch producer indeed delivers a finely balanced collection of fragile downbeat electronica and floor-ready Detroit-inspired techno tracks. Big tip.
