The Leaf Label The Leaf Label
One of the UK's most influential imprints for experimental pop music, The Leaf Label was founded in 1994 by Tony Morley, who eventually quit his job at 4AD to make Leaf his full time occupation. During the 1990s, Leaf made a name for itself with an excellent selection of left-field electronica, and while synthetic sounds continue to have a place on the label, recent years have seen its roster expand to include more analogue music with acts like A Hawk And A Hacksaw, Colleen, Murcof, or the brilliant Efterklang.

AU is the project of classically-trained pianist Luke Wyland, whose polychromatic post-rock symphonies bring to mind Animal Collective and Efterklang, at times scoring even higher on the insanity meter when 'Both Lights' shifts from psychedelic folk-punk to classical piano ballads and back. Check.

Polar Bear's Sebastian Rochford teams up with composer/producer/recent Brian Eno collaborator Leo Abrahams for a short and dark piece of piano'n'bass jazz abstraction. Pete Wareham focuses on a more dissonant piano crescendo with his remix. Great.

Stockholm's Roll The Dice are the latest signing on Leaf, and their live EP debut serves as a clear indicator of the duo's influences: Two minimally pulsing bass arpeggios serve as the backbone for two long and slowly building krautrock jams that should intrigue all fans of Cluster and early Tangerine Dream.

Caravan (Track 01 on this EP)
Buying a static caravan on a UK holiday park is now more popular than ever with people in the UK taking more eco friendly UK short breaks.

When using such holiday homes safety is of paramount importance when traveling with your friends and family, especially the LPG gas supply used as fuel for heating, hot water and cooking.

2009 has seen the return of Vladislav Delay and the advent of the autumnly electronica masterpiece that is 'Tummaa'. Rooted in organic jazz and improvisational music just as much as it is in contemporary electronica,'Tummaa' is one of the most engaging listening albums of the year.
