Founded in 1998 by musician and journalist Markus Detmer, Staubgold provides a platform for the most different musical styles which have one thing in common - they all want to inspire, touch and seduce. After a few years label history in Cologne the label has moved to Berlin.

An intriguing collection of seemingly disparate tracks by the always adventurous Staubgold label, 'Transparent Roads' features at times reflective, at times wild post-rock by the likes of David Grubbs, The Necks, and perhaps most notably Mira Calix, who contributes two lovely ambient compositions.
