This label is featured in Update #071:
Martyn, Axel Boman, Sandwell District, Alva Noto
This October has provided us with an abundance of outstanding albums, and it's been harder than ever to pick our release of the month. In the end the accolades had to go to Martyn's brilliant 'Ghost People' full-length, which evolves his sound far beyond the more...
Cio D'or once again appears on Prologue following up on her full-length for the German label in 2009 with this dark and atmospheric entry, 'Magnetfluss'. One of techno's most unique voices today conjures up 4 deeply cavernous, subtly detailed and restrained pieces that are as beautiful as they are menacing.

Ness, hailing from Sardinia serves up this EP of luscious dark techno as his debut release on the fine Prologue imprint. From the eerie ambient details of 'Diagnostic Function', the sharper subtle textures of 'Diagnostic Sequence' and the gloomy pumping final track, this is serious biz! Excellent.

No less than six different versions of Claudio PRC's 'Clear Depths' feature on this latest Prologue release by the Italian producer. Cavernous experimental techno with distinct noise drones, also including an excellent remix by LA's Silent Servant.
Adam X takes a break from his successful Traversable Wormhole project for his first single release on Prologue. 'Downbursts' is an austere, industrial techno banger, while 'Wind Shear Detection' develops more subtle charms with shuffled hats, layered drones, and a bleepy bass line. Recommended.
Review Resident Advisor: Can Adam X ever just be Adam X again? In the aftermath of the enormous success of Traversable Wormhole—both in its original, anonymous incarnation and its reissue series on CLR—it seems the answer is no. The Berlin producer's music appears to have been permanently affected by his flirtation with the Berghain-inspired dance floor sounds. With the exception of a collaborative EP with like-minded techno primitives Ancient Methods,... more...

Selected as Artist of week #43
Review Resident Advisor: Munich's Prologue Recordings label has become one of the most understatedly refined disseminators of a strain of techno that's growing more popular seemingly by the minute. The recent Cio D'or Resident Advisor podcast is an excellent mascot for this kinda-sorta-movement, concerned as much with bewitching sound design as anything else.
