Pomelo Pomelo
Sharing a common love for Detroit techno and exotic fruit, Art Vega, Daniel Lodig and visual artist Dextro founded Pomelo in 1993, the first release of the label being the classic Pomelo Compilation, featuring the crème of Austrian techno artists like Pulsinger & Tunakan (as iO and Daterape), Christopher Just, Gerhard Potuznik (as Flattape), and Hi-Lo, alongside international techno stars such as DJ Hell and Richie 'Acid Scout' Bartz.

After six months in NYC, Tin Man Johannes Auvinen returns to Vienna's mighty Pomelo. Aside from his acid stuff, some of his most dance-ready tracks yet; ‘U.R.' tipping his hat to the legends, bopping a 303-bassline under mincing chord stabs and techno resolute, 'Stay Down' a foray into Detroit minimal. Sweet!

An excellent and diverse set of remixes whets our appetite for Bad Cop Bad Cop's (Lopazz & Cortex) forthcoming album. Tobias' funky tech-house groover is certainly the most playable of the bunch, Kemetrix's industrial Detroit-jacker the most innovative, and Group Niob and Brendon Moeller don't disappoint either.
