Stefan Betke continues his 'Waldgeschichten' series with another set of astounding tracks. 'Lurch' evokes a subtle dub atmosphere with choir-like sounds and a warm sub-bass, while 'Moos' offsets a slightly more edgy bassline with warm pads and surprising percussion patterns. Pure joy to listen to.

Very well constructed tracks, and an amazing sound. Music to enjoy.

It's been a while since Stefan Betke has released as Pole and 'Waldgeschichten' marks this return. The quality of his sonic mastery is just a cut above the rest, breathtaking ephemeral details of 'Wipfel' and 'Wurzel' whimsy over a loose dub techno frame. Eye-wateringly lush. Highly recommended.
