Playhouse was founded in September 1993 by Heiko M/S/O and Ata as a sisterlabel of Klang Elektronik and a member of the Ongaku label family. Playhouse focuses on the housier side of things, while Klang releases music that is more techno-orientated. The label is run in collaboration with Roman Flügel and Jörn Elling Wuttke (a.k.a. Alter Ego, Acid Jesus or Sensorama), who control the output of Klang Elektronik. Playhouse aims to release visionary club-house and pop-house music and with a deep and timeless mentality it sure is a guarantor of innovative dance music.
