Kirk Degiorgio delivers two more for Planet E, 'I Hear Symphonies' is as melodic as its title, tinkering synths in the foreground and synth washes overarching, 'The Golden Aspect' takes a similar approach updating classic Detroit sounds, maintaining a fine balance of its parts.
There's preciously little information on Planet E's newest signing, but Eric Ericksson's debut EP speaks for itself: Three excellent tracks of deep techno, from the radically filtered dub chords of 'Factory' to the title track's floor-pleasing Detroit house vibes. Strong!

No one else than Carl Craig and Caribou's Dan Snaith hide behind their lesser known No Boundaries and Daphni guises, and it's the latter delivering two brilliant remixes of the former's 'Modular Pursuits' from 2010 here: Two up-tempo, ultra-raw and hypnotic house cuts that are guaranteed to turn heads on the floor. Paul Woolford lands on Planet E with two quite extraordinary tracks, both for the Leeds-based producer and Carl Craig's legendary label. Title track 'Achilles' evokes the elastic minimal funk of Robert Hood, while 'Razor Burn' alternates between fluffy chords and a grinding sawtooth arpeggio over a dubstep-inspired groove. Excellent.

Luciano and Milton Jackson remix Recloose's signature tune: Luciano's take is all weightless, Kevin Saunderson style chords over a sparse and shuffling groove, while Jackson contributes a meatier version of filtered licks and sappy house beats.
