Should you have missed the ultra-limited cassette run, here's Sand Cirles' debut album for you: Dreamy instrumental lo-fi synth pop mad in Sweden that's equally recommended for Legowelt fans as it is for the Minimal Wave disciples. Excellent.

Belgium's TG Gondard appears for the first time on LA's wonderful Not Not Fun imprint, quirky layers of synthwashes, lo-fi drum machine beats, chewed and spewed vox conjuring up some magical tracks. Truly weird synthpop crossed with industrial r'n'b. Recommended.

You could literally hear the jolts and jostles of the music industry's shifting into gear last week: From a quiet holiday mode to the bustle and hustle of what should be an intensely busy autumn season. If you're still in a tranquil summer mindset you might more...

Holy Strays, France's Sebastien Forrester drops another deliciously psyched-out EP on L.A.'s enigmatic Not Not Fun label.
'Enlightenment' a drifting mystical haze, 'Phrenesia' a dusty pronged epic, both tinged with krauty atmospheres and a fine set of remixes including a Moroder-esque workout from Xander Harris.

Romantic eclecticism is our theme this week, from champagne-zipping disco-funk by Munk and Benoit & Sergio to psychedelic free-style sounds by Toro Y Moi, Peaking Lights, and Nicolas Jaar, whose acclaimed debut album has just seen an international release. more...

The place where Ulysses' free-style approach truly comes to life is behind the decks however. His zero" exclusive DJ set this week beats our record for 'most tracks in one podcast', and only in rare moments of his one-hour mix do less then two of these tracks more...

Madison, Wisconsin's Peaking Lights are the latest addition to LA's brilliantly weird Not Not Fun label. '936' is the duo's first proper album for the label (after a reissue of 2009's 'Imaginary Falcons'), and its a lush fusion of dubbed-out, psychedelic indie pop and washed out beats. Sweet.
