Morbid Records Morbid Records
A sublabel of Vienna's Cheap Records, run by Erdem Tunakan, Morbid Records was known in the day for its unpredictable and off-beat choice of releases. From early ambient recordings by the likes of Abe Duque (as Kirlian) to the weird humour of Mäuse, the Morbid catalogue includes a few pearls that should not be missed, most notably The Private Lightning Six' 'They Came Down' album, one of the finest electro full-lengths ever, recorded by an all-star cast of Viennese producers.

A classic album by the Cheap Records super-group of Pulsinger, Tunakan, Potuznik, Golini, and Florian Sokol - and slightly overlooked, since it appeared on Cheap subsidiary Morbid. Unjustly so - this is a stone-cold classic of tripped out, jazzed up techno and electro funk. Must have.
