Loco Dice had gone a bit quiet on the release front lately, and his return to M_nus, 'Knibbie Never Comes Alone / Loose Hooks' is indeed his first vinyl outing since 2009. The single is a fine show of strength though, discarding '7 Dunham Place's house leanings in favour of major minimalistic dance floor damage.

Buenos Aires' minimal producer, Barem, has been building a considerable profile for himself releasing steadily on labels like Pariter and (un)Foundsound. Now on his third release, 'Blue', for Richie Hawtin's M_nus imprint, Barem continues to expose his energetic minimal techno to a worldwide audience.

Minus ventures into more classical minimal music fields with Kazuya Nagaya's 'Utsuho' - four enchanting ambient tracks by the Japanese composer and Plastikman collaborator, employing bronze bells, gongs and Tibetan singing bowls. A fresh direction for Minus and a highly recommended release.

Minus' NYC section teams up for 'Brooklyn Weekdays', a five-track collaboration of Ambivalent and Alexi Delano. Opener 'Lights Down' is classic Minus techno, all shoving bassline and morphing vocals, while another favourite has to be the heavily jacking, Daniel Bell inspired title track. Nice one.
