Jahtari Jahtari
Over the years Leipzig-based Jahtari has become a cult label for its crossover of lo-fi 8bit sounds and dub, a style which the Jahtari folks themselves call 'digital laptop reggae'. Initially started in 2004 by Disrupt and Rootah as a netlabel, Jahtari has since become a world-wide network of artists with close ties to the UK bass music scene.

Roots meet low-tech on the third - and once again fantastic - all-star volume from the Jahtari stable. Featuring veterans like Mikey Murka, Lee Scratch Perry and Mungo's Hi Fi, while Soom T shows of her fresh flow, Monkey Marc and John Frum drop devastating dubs, and it wouldn't be Jahtari without Disrupt's 8-bit sounds. Murderous.

Known from his 'Foundation Bit' album for Actress' great Werk Discs imprint, Disrupt perfectly shows off his 'digital laptop reggae' philosophy on 'The Bass Has Left the Building' on his own Jahtari label. Chiptune samples meet 8-bit drums and some deep smoked out dub vibes. Brilliant!
