Taken from Osunlade's latest LP, 'Pyrography', on their own Yoruba Records, 'Envisions' gets licensed to Innervisions for a set of remixes by Âme and Dixon. Being careful not to tinker too much with the original's winning formula, Âme and Dixon amplify the mood to prime it further for the big room.

Two quite different tracks by Innervision artist Marcus Worgull: 'Long Way' is almost a pop song with its strummed guitars and elegiac vocals, 'Coppa' on the other hand is a piece of arpeggiated, hypnotic house music, reminding us of Worgull's label colleagues Âme.

This distinct release on Innervisions sees Âme hook up with the global ambassadors of South African music, Amampondo. Across two versions of 'Ku Kanjani' Âme's hypnotic brand of techno meets Amampondo's characteristic Xhosa chants. Post-modern world music, impeccably executed.
This label is featured in Update #051:
Agoria, James Blake, Moritz Von Oswald Trio
February is rumoured to be the year's shortest month, but looking at the past weeks' shocking amount of great releases we are not sure we can confirm this.
Massive artists albums by Agoria, James Blake, Isolée, Siriusmo, Nicolas Jaar, Steffi, Tim Hecker, more...

Spiralling analogue synths and long, peaking arrangements are Lil Tony's trademark, and 'Anton's Groove' is a prime example of his style. Split in two parts totalling over 17 minutes it's a truly hypnotic journey, while the EP's eponymous 'Nudge' is a more reflective wild pitch affair. Unique and recommended.
