Manchester's AnD surface on Horizontal Ground with an excellent dub techno track that balances experimentalism and dance floor appeal. The B-side is divided between Rob Hood techno with a peg-legged beat and ambient drones. Recommended.

Two fiercely jacking, Chicago-flavoured tracks on Horizontal Ground, as always delivered anonymously. Taking cues from the likes of DJ Funk or Cajmere, this is a killer pair of tracks, bound to devastate any techno and house floor.

The seventh release on Horizontal Ground comes from Birmingham's DJ Skirt. The title track is a beautifully sculpted slice of experimental techno, feeding off a haunting drone throughout, whilst 'Ikaros' pulses with subtle industrialism and the beatless 'Six Hours' is a spine-chilling end. Brilliantly intense.

More anonymous techno from the Horizontal Ground / Frozen Border camp, this time dropping two rough techno jams with a dubstep feel: The bleepy, below-120bpm 'Snakes Cave' and the reverb-heavy 'Thirteen Step'. Highly recommended transmissions from the electronic underground.
