Since 2005 the Norwegian prophet of contemporary disco, Prins Thomas runs his Full Pupp label. Together with Hans-Peter Lindstrøm and Todd Terje he has shaped the by now lively scene in Oslo that is melting house, italo Disco and electro into their own often balearic labeled form of dance music. Full Pupp has always been a home for upcoming producers often debuting on the label.

Norwegian disco royalty Prins Thomas appears with some jacking electro house. 'Lang Tung Ting' has a sprawling fat acid bassline, 'Tom Peng Pung' continues similarly with a floatier space vibe, whilst 'Ny Maskin' comes more generously dosed with cosmic disco feelers and with a bonus percussive workout.

Three new and exclusive tracks by Prins Thomas, which have not been included on his recent self titled album. You know the formula and the magic that unfolds when these tracks are played on a dancefloor, so don't be late.

For the cover of his album, Prins Thomas poses in what might well be his living room, confidently wearing out his favourite lumberjack shirt. The picture tells more than a thousand words about the Norwegian disco star's first solo full-length: 'Prins Thomas' is a down-to-earth affair, hand-crafted by Thomas and friends in his own Oslo-based studio.

Track titles like 'Wendy not Walter' and 'Sauerkraut' give further insights into where Prins Thomas is taking us this time: disco-infused 70s space rock, not unlike his latest album with Lindstrøm, last year's 'II'.

Clocking in at just short of 10 minutes each, the album's tracks are given much room to build and develop, while keeping their structure and pacing intact. Thomas' long-time collaborator Hans-Peter Lindstrøm as well as Todd Terje also feature, joining the jam on keyboards and trumpet.

Appealing to fans of cosmic disco and krautrock alike, 'Prins Thomas' is a thoroughly likeable album, which, above all, sounds like it must have been a lot of fun recording it.
