On its relentless pursuit of moody underground techno Dutch Field Records drops its 9th compilation EP, this time featuring the dubby techno talents of Ohrwert, Eshu, and Crystal Maze, as well as Orgue Electronique, whose 'Halcyon' stands out as a killer piece of piano-led Detroit techno. Recommended.

Upholding the strict diversity of the Field Records series, Field 08 is not as hard hitting as 07 and 06 beginning with foggy subdued scifi scapes by Artefakt, then Marc Du Mosch's itchy rusted techno textures, Steffi's smoother yet pensive 'Full Glory' and a dubby atmospheric roller from Area Forty_One. Luscious.

Dutch label Field presents its sixth volume of rock-solid, Detroit-inspired techno with a spacious stomper by Delta Funktionen, a Rob-Hood-style reduction by ROD, a melodic banger by Mark du Mosch and symphonic ambient by Roberto Auser. Recommended.
