One of the first electronic dance music labels that emerged from France, F Communcations was founded in 1994 by Eric Morand and Laurent Garnier as a successor of their first label Fnac Music Dance Division. The label has proven highly influential in establishing a genuinely French house and techno sound with artists such as Mr. Oizo, Scan X or Saint Germain. After 14 years of operations the label has announced a break from releasing music in November 2008.
