FLEX Schallplatten FLEX Schallplatten
Originally founded in 1990 as a small punk club in Vienna's 16th district, the Flex relocated to its current and much bigger location - a former subway tunnel adjacent to the Danube canal - in 1995. With special attention given to the quality of its famed sound system, the Flex diversified its musical approach and quickly became the city's hot spot for underground electronic music with weekly club nights such as Monday's seminal Dub Club (hosted by Sugar B), and Tuesday's techno club Crazy, named after its host Crazy Sonic. After running for almost two decades the Flex remains Vienna's undisputed number one club institution and recently started its own associated label, Flex Schallplatten.
