Reincarnated as a vehicle for Gordon Sharp's solo productions, legendary post-punk project Cindytalk returns to Editions Mego for a third album. 'Hold Everything Dear' gracefully tackles intensity levels that range from fragile piano elegies to harmonious drone cascades on 12 inspired instrumentals. Excellent.

Mika Vainio's latest album sees the guitar featuring heavily, ever-skillfully asserting his abrasive sound-world. A hint at more traditional guitar usages is seen in a haunting cover of The Stooges 'Open Up And Bleed', whilst his incredible use of drones, textured noises and spaces make a gripping album.

Swedish sax legend Mast Gustafsson returns to Editions Mego with another storming collaboration. Now resident in Vienna he teams up with fellow experimentalists dieb13 and Martin Siewert for '(Fake) The Facts', three strong sessions of reflective notes and massive drones. Recommended.

The Emeralds' Mark McGuire follows up his recent, sprawling effort on Editions Mego with a more concise and focused album. Title track 'Get Lost' especially feels like a departure from meandering improvisation towards a psychedelic song writing craft which fuses influences from Kraftwerk to Neu! and Spacemen 3. Special.

A recent visit by snd's Mark Fell to Vienna saw the Sheffield digital experimenter jam with Mego's Peter Rehberg. This fantastic first release sees jilted pistons of drums rotate around cranky chords and muffled radio in 'Kabu' and a slow build up of growling drones and frenetic radar beats in 'Zikir'. Ace.

Together these modern legends of analogue and digital electronic create an absolutely riveting, spine-tingling 46 minutes of masterful experimental sonics.

Philipp Quehenberger returns to Editions Mego with 'Uffuff', his mighty weird, noisey electronica set to a crawling horror-movie bassline and bolshy marching drums. A brill dextrous percussive remix from Patrick Pulsinger, Elin working the slow electrobass and Altroy's harder techno version making an ace release!

Guitarist of seminal post-punk band Wire, Bruce Gilbert gets a much-deserved re-release of his second solo album from 1984 on Editions Mego. Astounding creations of rhythms, noise and distorted electronic textures with obscured synth and song fragments, still sounding incredible today. Highly recommended.

The ever-uncomprimising Ivan Pavlov returns, this time confronting guitars as his album 'IRON' did eleven years ago. Using recordings from his days in the USSR where consuming "metal music" was forbidden, his electronic-rock hybrid is brimming with a magnificent raw energy found seldom these days. Immense.
