Eat Concrete Eat Concrete
Eat Concrete is an independent music label founded in 2006 by Pete Concrete. The label has strong roots in the Dutch electronica scene with contributors such as Funckarma and Aardvarck, but has quickly developed from a local network into an international platform of like-minded artists. The label is influenced and inspired by a wide spectrum of musicians, producers and styles, leaning towards experimental beat construction.

Shackleton, Jamie XX, James Blake
In the disparate world of bass music, dubstep has unravelled itself in multiple directions. This month, this is no better demonstrated as one of dubstep's most unique pioneers Shackleton returns with two killer EPs on Honest Jon's. Also on the radar are great more...

Bloom turns to Gloom. Continuing his series of broken beat experiments, Aardvarck teams up with fellow Dutchman Kubus for this EP on Eat Concrete. On seven tracks in total abstract, wonky jazz-stepping by Aardvarck meets Kubus' more sinister leftfield dubstep. Recommended.

In preparation for his new album, flying Dutchman Aardvark unleashes a new platter of heavy, dub infused beat slices much like in the vain of his acclaimed Bloom series, even featuring the Gaslamp Killer on one cut. After extensive listening we concluded in unison: Aardvarck for President!
