Founded by London DJ Damian Lazarus, Crosstown Rebels established itself as one of the hottest new labels in 2006/07 with a policy of crossing styles from minimal techno to dubstep. The bankruptcy of the label's distributor Amato however brought the promising label down with it, but in 2008 Lazarus lived up to his name and restarted the label with consistently excellent output from artists like Jamie Jones, Soul Clap, and Glimpse.

Crosstown Rebels has certainly dominated and guided in 2011, reinventing underground house vibes into ever-fresh dancefloor dynamite.
