City Centre Offices dedicates itself to releasing electronic pop music. Founded in 1998 in Manchester, UK, the original idea of the label was to release 7"s only, presenting modern, but catchy electronic sounds on a (by then) almost obsolete and forgotten format. Soon enough though, CCO turned into a 'proper' label, focusing on long-term relationships with artists from all over the world, releasing mainly full-lengths, both on vinyl and CD. With offices both in Manchester, UK and Berlin, Germany, CCO has released more than 30 albums and over 30 7"s and 12"s over the course of the last few years, embracing all aspects of electronic pop music and branching out into hip hop, postrock and acoustics. The motto has remained the same though: 'Let the others experiment, we listen and dance.'
While Detroit techno might have conquered the European continent by way of the British...

Pillow is the solo project Giardini Di Mirò keyboarder Luca Di Mira, returning with a second album after 'Flowing Seasons' from 2006. 'From Dusk To Dawn' is an intriguing journey, meandering between the poles of electronica, neo-classical music, and abstract post-rock. Excellent album.

Giardini Di Mirò return to City Centre Offices for their eighth studio album (if we count correctly). 'Good Luck' is a confident display of skill with its eight songs heading off into widely different song-writing directions, held together by the Italian post-punk outfit's charismatic style. Recommended.

Italy's finest post-rock band scores a soundtrack for Giovanni Pastrone's silent movie 'Il Fuoco' from 1916. Orchestral, emotional, but fragile at the same time, Giardini Di Mirò's compositions combine guitars, electronica, noise and classical instruments for an exceptional album.

The first solo album by Mark Van Hoen (a.k.a. Lucust) since 2004, 'Where Is The Truth' is a perfect match for City Centre Offices with its refined ambient pop. Traces of Van Hoen's trip-hop past meet indie and modern classical influences on what is a mature album from a remarkable producer.
