Aril Brikha on an electro pop tip! The Swedish techno veteran remixes 'Tough Love' of fellow countrymen Sailor & I, resulting in a sharp and crisp take that reminds us not only of the Junior Boys, but also of Morgan Geist and Vince Clarke's famously fat modular synth arpeggios. Lush and lovely.

A remastered version of Aril Brikha's remarkable debut album demonstrates the admirable timeless quality of his productions ten years on. Alongside the original tracks, the release includes ten unreleased tracks recorded between 1995-99, which includes plentiful gems, 'Fuknit' and 'Us' amongst them. Staggering.

With another EP on Art of Vengeance, Aril Brikha's timeless soulful techno still rules strong. In the vein of his epic 'Winter EP' on Kompakt back in 2007, 'Forever Frost' tingles cold synth melancholy, 'Tundra' pulses shimmering melodies and 'Glaciär/For Minou' plugs smoothly deeper. Completely lush.

Aril Brikha's 'Groove La Chord' made its mark in the annals of techno history in 1998 and now gets a sublime glistening remix from Deetron. 'Read Only Memory' gets two mighty fine reworks, Jori Hulkkonen and Octave One augmenting its wicked liquid groove, the latter jackin' Detroit right to the core. Pure delight!

A release of this label is recommended by De:Bug:
Germany's inimitable magazine for music, media, culture and self discipline, De:Bug, presents one selected album for a special price each month. Cristian Vogel likes it up close when it comes to his fan base. It might not be the largest under the rave-sun, but what it lacks in size it makes more...
