In recession gripped Limerick, in early 2009, Antiqua Recordings' label owner John Buckley looked into the idea of setting up a small record label. Motivated by an unyielding love of Electronic Music, and the desire to get out of an unrewarding career in Architecture, Buckley formed Antiqua Recordings with the help of talented Irish producers such as John Daly and contributors like Kris Wadsworth and Markus Homm.
