Picked!
Manchester's Krystal Klear returns to All City with 'We're Wrong', the mysterious project's most classic house inspired offering to date. The title track is a pure early-90s Crystal Waters piano anthem, while flip side 'From The Start' adds a contemporary funky touch. Anthem alert!

If you are based on the planet's northern hemisphere like we are, chances are you're either looking for a melancholic soundtrack to the greyness outside or some cheerful music to counter its adverse effects right now.
Either way, this month's releases more...
Onra's 2007 'Chinoiseries' was a wonderful journey into oriental-tinged experimental hip-hop, now he returns a few years later in a similar style. Keeping the quality high across 32 short tracks, dicing and traversing vintage Eastern samples with yes, Dilla-esque multi-fluidity. Lush.
One of our favourite producers at the moment, Manchester's xxxy, could hardly have chosen a more fitting title for his All City debut: 'Kerpow' is a prime-grade breakbeat slammer that alternates big pads, cowbells and squarewave bass stabs. It's backed by 'Down With U' which gives a Juke-style hook a Drexciyan spin. Outstanding single!
This label is featured in Update #071:
Martyn, Axel Boman, Sandwell District, Alva Noto
This October has provided us with an abundance of outstanding albums, and it's been harder than ever to pick our release of the month. In the end the accolades had to go to Martyn's brilliant 'Ghost People' full-length, which evolves his sound far beyond the more...

a lot of samples from romanthony's hold on. I prefer the original;)
All City presents the worldwide debut of The Midnight Eez. Reportedly a 1995/1996 mixtape demo given virtually anonymously to All City co-founder Splyce during a record buying excursion to NYC, this somewhat 'unauthorized' release will hopefully unearth its original creators to give them their overdue credit.
This label is featured in Update #063:
Mark E, Vladislav Delay Quartet, Tiger & Woods
The past month of May provided us with a release schedule almost as erratic as the weather, but sticking to our monthly essentials should keep you on the safe side in terms of musical quality.

In the disparate world of bass music, dubstep has unravelled itself in multiple directions. This month, this is no better demonstrated as one of dubstep's most unique pioneers Shackleton returns with two killer EPs on Honest Jon's. Also on the radar are great more...
All Nights
(Track 01 on this EP)
The first part of All City's new 'Collabs' series has technostep master Martyn side with hip-hop experimentalist Mike Slott. 'All Nights' is a killer house track with a percussive dupstep groove beneath its Shed-style chords, which his followed by 'Pointing Fingers', a playfully abstract downbeat exercise in a FlyLo vein.

Another fresh set of beats straight out of LA brought to us via Glasgow's All City Records and the sixth edition of their LA Series. Featuring the pairing of Daedelus and Teebs, this electrifying set of instrumentals raises the bar for LA's finest beat-tweakers.
The One (Waajeed Remix)
(Track 03 on this Maxi-Single)
Our favourite French beatmaker returns with 'The One', a great stumbling hip-hop single featuring the vocal talents of Slum Village's T3. Comes with instrumentals and two different remixes by Detroit's Waajeed.
Parisian beatmaker Onra gets all retro with 'Long Distance', a great slice of downtempo electro R&B. Featured vocalists on the title track and its flip, the equally funky 'High Hopes', are Oliver DaySoul and Reggie B, also known from their work for All City and 4Lux. Should get steaming hot on the floor with this one.
