Yellow Lounge presents the cutting edge of today's classical musicians outside of the traditional context of concert halls.
For the first Yellow Lounge edition of 2011, 29-year-old pianist Francesco Tristano will make a live appearance at Berlin's Cookies club, where the first Yellow Lounge events were held until the club moved to a new location on Friedrichstrasse.
As one of very few artists with the ability to cause a stir both in the classical as well as in the electronic music scene, Tristano has collaborated with legends such as Carl Craig and Moritz von Oswald. The latter has also produced Tristano's new album 'bachCage', which will be released on Deutsche Grammophon on March 18th.
The highly anticipated 'bachCage' is Tristano's very own personal take on two of the greatest composers of all times, Johann Sebastian Bach and John Cage, infused with subtle electronics by Moritz von Oswald.
