With imported vinyl being prohibitively expensive and a traditional predominance of 'Rock Nacional' as the preferred style of music for Buenos Aires' rebellious youth, electronic music never had it easy in Argentina's sprawling capital. Besides the more commercial clubs, like the 'Pacha' or 'El Divino', an interesting underground scene has however developed in recent years, gaining international respect with artists like Barem or Guvstavo Lamas.
