Vienna's sound:frame 2009 festival, dedicated entirely to the visual aspects of electronic music, will kick off today, Friday, with a big opening in Vienna's Künstlerhaus. The three week festival features an international line-up of video artists, DJs and live acts, with the visuals for once taking centre stage.
The festival's official compilation will be provided by zero" in digital-only format. It features exclusive material by the festival's video and audio artists and will be for sale across all sound:frame 2009 locations as a download card.
Workshops, lectures and a large exhibition will complement sound:frame's four packed party weekends: Video crews like Giraffentoast, Depart, Eyefatigue or Luma.Launisch are set to illuminate live and DJ sets by Dixon, Quarion, Holger Zilske, Michael Fakesch, Ritornell, Dave DK, Ogris Debris, and many many more.
