 FEATURED RELEASE

Album released 03-05-2010 on Warp Records
Flying Lotus drops one of the most anticipated albums of the year with 'Cosmogramma', the follow-up to his hugely influential 'Los Angeles' from 2008. Over the course of its 17 tracks FlyLo's third album unfolds like a kaleidoscopic trip through a cosmic wonderland of jazz, hip-hop, computer game sounds and electronica.

Leaving the reference frame of instrumental hip-hop far behind, 'Cosmogramma' construct its own free-floating microcosm from these elements and emerges as FlyLo's most artistically coherent album to date, detached from all conventions of space, time and genre.

It's hard not to marvel at the album's impeccable flow, from the opening track 'Clock Catcher', which contrasts 8-bit chip sounds with Rebekah Raff's acoustic harp playing, to the uplifting finale of 'Galaxy In Janaki' with its haunting chords and freestyle bass.

Memorable moments include '... And The World Laughs With You', which elegantly dissolves Thom Yorke's vocals into a mesmerizing track, or the orchestral 'Drips//Auntie's Harp'. It is however the way these elements are arranged into a whole which makes 'Cosmogramma' what it is: A landmark album of one of electronic music's most accomplished artists.

EP released 19-04-2010 on Warp Records
Mark Pritchard and Steve Spacek ready their collaboration album under the name of Africa Hitech, and 'Blen' is their first single - a bleepy electro-grime stomper, accompanied by the more chilled-out dub flavours of 'The Sound Of Tomorrow'. As expected from Mark Pritchard (and Warp), this is pure class.
Album released 22-03-2010 on Warp Records
Rob Brown and Sean Booth hold a special place in electronic music, and each new album release is a highly anticipated event. 'Oversteps' tones down the recent beat abstractions and injects a large dose of melodic experimentation, linking back to masterpieces such as 'Tri Repetae'. Classic Autechre.
Album released 08-03-2010 on Warp Records
Delivering one of the most exhilarating debuts of the year 2010, Gonjasufi blazes through styles and genres at an impressive pace, combining influences from Soul, folk and psychedelic rock with sample-heavy, lo-fi hip-hop aesthetics. Think Tom Waits meets Led Zepplin meets FlyLo. Amazing.
Album released 22-02-2010 on Warp Records
Latest Warp signing LoneLady drops her debut album 'Nerve Up'. Hailing from Manchester, her music draws inspiration from bands like Joy Division, PIL or Suicide, creating a distinct and hypnotic style of sparsely instrumented indie pop. Post-Punk is not dead - on the contrary, it just found a great new hope.
EP released 16-11-2009 on Warp Records
Maximo Park's last album 'Quicken The Heart' gets the remix treatment with versions by Tom Middleton, Clark, and - our favourite of the pack - Martyn, whose bleepy dubstep beats and Maximo's Park effect-ladden indie vocals make for a strangely intriguing combination.
Album released 26-10-2009 on Warp Records
Fusing influences from George Clinton, DJ Premier, Prince, classic hip-hop and R'n'B, Glasgow's Hudson Mohawke sees the world through a neon-colored kaleidoscope of his own. His debut album for Warp reaches deliriously over the top and emphatically showcases HudMo's brilliance and imagination.
Compilation released 28-09-2009 on Warp Records
Killer compilation of reworks from Warp's new guard for some of the label's stone cold classics on the occasion of their 20th anniversary. Luke Vibert remixing LFO or Jimi Tenor's very own take on Elecktroids is just massive and about as good as it gets. Must Have!
Album released 02-02-2009 on Warp Records
Operating at the juxtaposition of grimy hip-hop and futuristic Detroit Techno is Harmonic 313, yet another project by electronic music pioneer Mark Pritchard. 'When Machines Exceed Human Intelligence" soundtracks Pritchard's vision of a dystopian future where 'music is now a thing of the past'.
Album released 25-08-2008 on Warp Records
The longest serving artist on the Warp Records roster, George Evelyn a.k.a. Nightmares On Wax, returned in 2008 with 'Thought So...', a refined update to his delicious recipe of smoked-out grooves and low-slung, jazzy vibes, which he first established with 'A Word Of Science' in 1991.
Album released 18-02-2007 on Warp Records
'Geogaddi' is possibly the most ambitious album in Boards of Canada's body of work, with its 23 tracks originally having been released in a massive triple vinyl box set. The album expands the hip-hop influenced electronica with acoustic sounds for a hypnotic and mesmerizing journey.
Album released 20-02-2006 on Warp Records
Both a return to Warp's classic electro heritage and a defining album for Jimmy Edgar, his debut full-length for the label masterfully combines lush electro funk and fragile electronica in a way only the Detroit producer poster boy seems to manage. Excellent album from start to finish.
Album released 13-06-2005 on Warp Records
Arguably one of the best albums of 2005, not only marking Jamie Lidell's departure from the more experimental grounds of his work with Super Collider, but also proving his incredible talent as one of this century's great crooners. Not just Elton John thinks 'Multiply' is magnificent!
Album released 03-09-2001 on Warp Records
A late masterpiece of Drexciya's James Stinson, 'Lifestyles Of The Laptop Café' is unrivalled for its quiet, reflective and emotional approach to Detroit electro. One of his first albums to make full use of digital production techniques, this is a moody, introspective and utterly unmissable recording.
Maxi-Single released 22-03-1999 on Warp Records
Richard D. James has created many productions that have become absolute electronic music classics throughout his career, but 'Windowlicker' holds a very special place in the hearts and minds of many of his fans. If you don't already have this in your collection, then what are you waiting for!
Album released 28-04-1997 on Warp Records
His first ever album for Warp Records, Squarepusher's Hard Normal Daddy is a brilliantly hectic journey through the aftermath of the collision between sublime, spacey jazz and nervous, skittery jungle. With its occasionally leanings toward 70s funk, this is one of Jenkinson's many memorable efforts.
EP released 28-10-1996 on Warp Records
Two worlds collide on this collection of Mike Ink classics: The breakbeat acid anthem 'Paroles' stands out as one of the finest tracks in Wolfgang Voigt's early career, while its 1996 remix points in the direction of the genre-defining minimalism of his later work. Also check the Autechre remix!
Album released 04-11-1996 on Warp Records
Any of Richard D. James' works could be highlighted for its contribution to the history of electronic music, but his 1996 album is self-titled not without reason: It is perhaps Aphex Twin's most impressive stab at fusing his beat-editing science with neo-classical pop melodies. Amazing album still.
EP released 19-08-1996 on Warp Records
Move D is a real-life super hero and maybe he was already born as such. 'Cymbelin' employs phat analogue drum machines and mesmerizing pads, certainly ranging among the best releases within David Moufang's impressive discography. You know you need this.
Album released 06-11-1995 on Warp Records
One of many landmark albums by Brown and Booth, 1995's 'Tri Repetae' is both a fan favourite and a turning point for Autechre, negotiating between their early melodic, playful efforts and their later free-form beat experiments. 'Tri Repetae' represents the very best of both worlds.
Album released 24-04-1995 on Warp Records
Nearly a one and a half decades later, 1995's album '...I Care Because You Do' by Richard D. James has aged exceptional well. Filled with cryptic anagrams and painstaking attention to detail, there is something still yet to be discovered about this essential piece of electronic music even 15 years later.
EP released 13-02-1995 on Warp Records
Part of an essential three EP Detroit electro series issued by in Warp 1995 (with Ultradyne and Elecktroids contributing the other parts), 'The Journey Home' is possibly the most sought-after of the pack: Explosive Drexciyan techno on side A, leading up to the beautiful and haunting title track. Brilliant.
Album released 08-02-1994 on Warp Records
One of Warp's relatively few forays into authentic Detroit techno, Kenny Larkin's 'Azimuth' is a brilliant concept album that stands the test of time with its advanced sound design and tracks that alternate between uptempo techno classics and spaced-out breakbeat epics. True Hi-Tech funk.
Compilation released 30-05-1994 on Warp Records
Legendary compilation of ambient tracks by the likes of Link, B12, Richard H. Kirk, Autechre and Speedy J, which cemented Warp's status as one of the most innovative labels in the field. 'AI2' served as a blueprint for a whole generation of producers and its influence is beyond debate.
Album released 11-01-1993 on Warp Records
Very early album by Mr. Richard D. James under his Polygon Window moniker, dating back to times when Cornish beaches were the place to be for the raving youth. 'Surfing On Sine Waves' bears all characteristics of the famous AFX style, perfectly exemplified by the relentless, wall shaking 'Quoth'.
Album released 22-07-1991 on Warp Records
Without a shade of doubt one of the most influential electronic music albums of all times, LFO's 'Frequencies' not only epitomised the Sheffield bleep and sub-bass style of the era, but also presented a genuinely original counterdraft to the original Detroit techno style. A timeless classic.
