Former UR-cohort Rolando graces Berlin's Ostgut Ton with the heavy-duty 'De Cago', utterly commanding with its thumping kicks, dripping metallics and drifting out-of-reach decrees. On the other side, 'Junie' a harrowing glacial ambient jam, which closed Ben Klock's Berghain 04 mix. Weighty.

Copenhagen's Resoe releases his debut full-length on Echocord and his years of mastery are more than apparent. From the snappier 'Nachhall' and 'Mutation' to the smoldering dubbed out 'Demoon' of the forerunner EP and the deep luscious 'Syntax Error', the album gels a perfect balance. Mighty.

Excellent retrospective scanning almost 10 years of definitive productions by Kompakt's elusive label co-owner. From the crystalline pop perfection of his unforgettable 'So Weit Wie Noch Nie' to the superior dancefloor precision of 'Nord' and 'We Love' and his recent gem 'So Wird Die Zeit Gemacht'. Timeless.

Known from his releases for Night Vision, Be As One and Wave Music, Italian producer Roberto Bosco joins the Minimalsoul stable with his 'Biosphere EP' - two melodic, and surprisingly pacey techno tracks that come complete with Detroit-style percussive shuffles and epic, melancholic strings.

Vienna-based Joyce Muniz dishes out deeper house vibes for her latest EP on Exploited. The original is awash with a dreamy teasing house groove and honeyed cut-up vocals which is lusciously disco-dazzled by Mr. Ho and superbly broken up with a flawless Cosmin TRG treatment. Recommended!

A fine slice of Detroit techno from Motech's DJ 3000: 'Her Smile' is a deep and dreamy piece, which gets an up-tempo, 'Knights of the Jaguar'-style treatment by UR's Mark Flash, a lush rework by Esteban Adame (Ican), and a banging techno remix by Shawn Rudiman. Nice!

EP released 14-01-2011 on Ware
Mathias Schaffhäuser's excellent live album spawns this EP of select cuts and remixes. Alongside the original live cut from the Ware founder, a stunning reinterpretation by Cologne's wonder-instrumental trio Brandt Brauer Frick appears as well as fine deep reworks from Paulice and Pedramovich. Ace.

Electro queen Miss Kittin returns in solo form with this reduced dancefloor-ready tune on Mobilee. The original bumps and flutters expertly with Miss Kittin's hypnotising vocals whilst Lee Van Dowski minimalises further and Gesaffelstein delivers quirks and beefs it up. Very enjoyable.

EP released 17-01-2011 on Infiné
London-based Jozif releases his first EP on Infiné, a winter warmer for January dancefloors. 'Sunrise' creeps with a beaming elastic bass and a crisp groove, the rest just as inventive and moreish, exuding a comfortable sunny confidence. Definitely one to watch in 2011 - highly recommended!

Amsterdam's brand-new Indigo Aera delivers a surprising gem with its first release: 'First Expression' starts out the EP with a beatless piano hymn in the vein of 'Strings Of Life', 'The Present' follows up with a percussive piano groove, and 'Time Is Space' is a great Detroit techno anthem in Steve Rachmad style. Excellent debut.

Tiga's 'Love Don't Dance Here Anymore' has this distinct Paperclip People beat that just begged to be remixed by Carl Craig. The Detroit techno maestro heeded the call, and his two epic (12 and 13 minute) wildpitch techno takes are backed by a welcome instrumental of the Moroderish original. Bomb.

Maxi-Single released 07-01-2011 on Polytone
Vidab's Davenport & Deutschmann contribute their 'The Kristian Slayter' EP to Polytone, with 'Breakin Free' being a nicely grooving techno track, characterized by perpetually morphing vocals and steadily pushing chords. Remixes come from Mathias Vogt and Roberto Bosco, the latter providing a real peak-time bomb.

EP released 11-05-2011 on Tsuba
Nice split release of deep-house flavoured Detroit techno by Alex Niggemann, Rio Padice, and Alex Jones. Niggemann's 'Trippin' is a particularly lush affair with a great shuffling 909, laid-back vocals and wildpitch breaks. Padice and Jones supply prime grade dance-floor fodder as well however. Recommended.

Maxi-Single released 10-01-2011 on CLR
Two hard-hitting speaker assaults by London's Ali Wells a.k.a. Perc. 'Anti Funk' and 'Purple' both deploy devastating percussions and industrial sound-scapes, with the latter's shattered bass drum patterns and dramatic chord layers proving particularly seductive.

Glasgow's Gary Beck (Soma, Edit Select) steps up the intensity with his absurdly energetic 'Yes!'. The track's incessantly pounding drum rolls should suffice to drive any dancefloor into submission, while Yousef (Cocoon, Renaissance) provides a more playful remix. Big tune.

Grayson Shipley and Lee Pattison keep the flag flying for Bristol techno, and their newest release 'Kaleidoscopes' is once again a fine display of craftsmanship. Its minimalistic percussion grooves should prove their worth on any dancefloor, and Leeds' newcomers Gentleman's Club provide a nice remix.

Ahead of his debut album 'Alive', Chaim releases this bittersweet atmospheric house single on BPitch. Title track 'U & Eye' grooves mysteriously with an eerie hovering vocal, whilst 'Don't Shout' and 'Everything' utilise rising and falling rave emotions, oozing deep Chicago soul. Excellent.

Maxi-Single released 07-01-2011 on Oslo
Reboot aka Frank Heinrich makes his debut on Oslo with this sturdy three-track EP. 'Macchina' builds up punches and thrills with plenty of clinking noise and bass whilst 'En Place' has a more minimal approach teasing out tiny details and 'Frank und Frei' oozes a wobbling warmth. Solid.

Adam X takes a break from his successful Traversable Wormhole project for his first single release on Prologue. 'Downbursts' is an austere, industrial techno banger, while 'Wind Shear Detection' develops more subtle charms with shuffled hats, layered drones, and a bleepy bass line. Recommended.

Alex Under revives his Dolly La Parton guise for a new release on his bootleggish Be My Sheep label. Employing cut'n paste swing snippets to great effect, 'Belleville' is a tongue-in-cheek party hit, treated to a more straight faced remix on the flip by Mr. Under himself.
