'Triangulation' is the highly anticipated follow-up to Scuba's 2008 debut album 'A Mutual Antipathy', and much has changed for Paul Rose in the two years since its release. He has relocated to Berlin, hooked up with the mighty Ostgut and has made his own Hotflush imprint one of the hottest labels around.
Dubstep has always been the cornerstone of Scuba's music, but never its only means of expression. Just likes his recently released 'SUB:STANCE' mix for Ostgut, 'Triangulation' draws on a variety of influences, mediating between UK bass music and the sounds of continental Europe.

Styles on display range from the melodic electronica of 'Heavy Machinery', over 'On Deck's sawtooth techno-breaks to the jazzy deepness of tracks like 'Before', which allude to Kruder & Dorfmeister's early efforts (in a good way). 'Before' has also been chosen for the album's first video, a kaleidoscopic night time road trip filmed by director Sam Geer and included on the album as a bonus.

No doubt another landmark release both for Scuba as well as his acclaimed Hotflush label, 'Triangulation' is an intriguing effort that has yet to be bested in its field this year.
