Active in electronic music for over twenty years now, one of the scene's most admired female forces Electric Indigo can boast an impressive resume; playing clubs and festivals in 35 countries, working in the legendary Hard Wax record store, founding her own label indigo:inc recordings and creating female:pressure, an international database for female DJs, producers and visual artists.

These days Electric Indigo returns with this new EP 'Phytoplankton', a collaboration with Temp~Records boss Irradiation. Together they use their expertise garnered from many years on Vienna's unique electronic scene.

The minimal sci-fi bleeps and dry restrained beats of 'Phytoplankton' have a haunting effect, all the more so when put together with the video created by Graz's VJ luX. A permanent flux of mysterious black and white forms accompany the mesmerizing microscopic pulses of the track perfectly. Completing the release, a host of excellent remixes by Rossella, Dasha Rush and Jennifer Cardini take the original track to new levels.

Having recently announced that their live set is ready to launch, Electric Indigo and Irradiation are bound to be bringing their stunning live set around the world soon. You can hear a sample of how it sounds live here.

TEMP~Records boss Irradiation and Electric Indigo collaborate on this eerie, playful minimal track 'Phytoplankton'. In the remixes, Rossella unravels a brilliant uneasy dubbed-out mood, Dasha Rush packs a punchy bass-driven version and Jennifer Cardini dreams up a sweeter, floatier rework. Very nice package!
