Kollektiv Turmstrasse have gained enormous popularity with atmospheric minimal house hits like 'Tristesse' and 'Blutsbrüder'. For their second album, 'Rebellion Der Träumer', out now on Connaisseur Recordings, the Hamburg-based duo has taken its sound into a surprising new direction.

Not content with offering just a half-hearted collection of club music tracks to their fans, 'Rebellion Der Träumer' ('Rebellion of Dreamers') expands the Kollektiv's cinemascopic sound to album format. Enlisting the help of vocalists like Wareika's Florian Schirmacher, the album combines elements from ambient electronica, dubstep, downbeat, indie pop, and house.

A first video to accompany the album has just been released, for the track 'Kontakt'. Created by Hamburg-based director Harun Hazar the video is a beautifully filmed affair, playing with the use of light and colour, and perfectly fitting Kollektiv Turmstrasse's moody downbeat song.
Album released 19-11-2010 on Connaisseur Recordings
'Rebellion Der Träumer', Kollektiv Turmstrasse's second album, will likely come as a surprise to their many fans: Not unlike fellow producer star Trenthemøller the Hamburg duo has left house music by the wayside for this one, delivering an album of downbeat electronica pop instead. Lush!
