Not only for his (rather excellent) new album 'Milky Ways' has French electro superstar Joakim returned to the basics of guitar, bass, drums and synths, but also for the corresponding video, the programmatic 'Back To Wilderness'.
Directed by Parisian contemporary artist Camille Henrot, the video records a living room jam session of Joakim and his live band The Disco performing the album's metal-tinged intro.
Just like the track itself, the video held in a rough and lo-fi style, featuring little in terms of special effects - if you discount a few coloured neon lights and a fog machine. Très chic, très avant-garde! |
