Lemon & Lime
(Track 06 on this Album)
Total WTF chopped, screwed and spat back out hip-hop that manages to sound like both the Gaslamp Killer and Duran Duran (Duran). Judging by his inventive use of familiar samples, and knack for audio mangling that gets right inside your head, we reckon Maxmillion Dunbar is a name you are going to hear a lot more of soon.

Londoner Paul White's experimental hip-hop has earned him well-deserved attention since he first appeared on One-Handed Music in 2007. With vocalists bridging UK and US, such as Guilty Simpson, Danny Brown and Jehst, his lovingly bizarre and imaginative productions make a stunning album. Recommended.
Disconnected w/ Enik
(Track 05 on this Album)
Four years after the glitch-hop debut album, 'Appetite For Disctruction', Funkstörung returned in '04 with 'Disconnected', which added a dimension to their productions previously only hinted at: vocals. A new, more accessible, and engaging direction that further defined the duo's unique sound.

For this week's podcast we're pleased to have a true veteran player show off his skills and eclectic music taste: Christian Kreuz a.k.a. Dakar.
Originally hailing from Munich, Dakar has been a resident DJ in the city's legendary Ultraschall club for eight years and has recorded his music for labels such as Get Physical, Disko B, and most recently Gomma.
Many will further know the charismatic neo-Berliner as part of Dakar & Grinser, the electro pop...

'Ever since I lost my job / I started a blog' - Chicago's David Cohn a.k.a. Serengeti sure knows how to deliver his insights as punch lines. 'Family & Friends' is his first solo album for anticon and its lyrical consistency comes with musical diversity that ranges from pop-flavoured SP-1200 electronica to kraut and surf flavours. Excellent album.
All City presents the worldwide debut of The Midnight Eez. Reportedly a 1995/1996 mixtape demo given virtually anonymously to All City co-founder Splyce during a record buying excursion to NYC, this somewhat 'unauthorized' release will hopefully unearth its original creators to give them their overdue credit.

Anticon releases the sophomore album from NYC-based pop experimentalist Ryan Lott: 'We Are Rising' combines chamber music, hip-hop, and Caribou-style psych-pop with contributions from My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden, the Antlers' Peter Silberman, Midlake, and DM Stith. Recommended.

London-based producer Jeremy Duffy (aka Duff Disco) has been releasing as Duffstep for less than a year, with just a couple of singles on Saigon Recordings and Electric Minds. Yet he's quickly accumulated many fans with his winning slowed down and funked-up disco and dubstep influenced beats.
'Getting To Sirius' dropped early this year on the label he co-founded, Join The Dots, with a stunning animated video for the unruly bass-stepping 'The Way It's...

Jahcoozi's Robot Koch meets Scienz of Life's John Robinson in a brilliant fusion of Robot Koch's sci-fi dubstep productions and John Robinson's futuristic hip-hop narrative. Flowing with the energy of an intergalatical stream of consciousness, bass explorations to shake your world. Highly recommended!

Our podcast this week takes us around the globe (at least from where we are standing) to Mexico City, home to Valeria Rueda and Jeronimo Puenta, better known as formidable techno duo Signal Deluxe.
Both Valeria and Jerga have been active in Mexico's techno scene for many years before starting to work together as Signal Deluxe in 2005. From there things picked up fast with a continuous stream of releases appearing on international labels such as...
