As astounding thirty-track compilation from the Munich disco house empire Permanent Vacation. Functioning as a further kind of 'Best of...', with tracks and remixes from the likes of Sally Shapiro, John Talabot, Tevo Howard, Tensnake, Mano Le Tough. Jam packed with gems you might just have missed.

SS035 from 2009 sees its digital release, Theo with his more cosmic meditations; firstly 'Space Station', a robust slice of laser-spinning space-funk, whilst 'Going Through Changes' with Danny Banks' smooth vocals melting over the feathered hi-hat pleasure, nimble rhythmic craftsmanship and soulful bass. Lush.

Dalhous
(Track 06 on this Album)
Despite some criticisms of sounding a bit like Enya in their live sets, the duo formerly known as Young Hunting, deliver an admirable debut album. The sonic intricacies of strings, woodwind, percussion alternating between foreboding doom and soothing melodic ruminations, 'Dalhous' the killer centrepiece.
New CLR crew member Rebekah makes a fine start mixing a compilation of only CLR releases. Exploring the breadth of the label's sound, from spacious dark details where Lucy and TW are involved, to searing headsdown techno of Speedy J and Drumcell, Van Hoesen's The Knife remix making a welcome appearance too.

Ivan Pavlov's second release on the mighty Editions Mego, departing substantially from 'IIRON's gritty metallic dirge with retrofuturistic synths strangled from electronic pop, with even a touch of deranged disco. Uncompromising as ever, he scrutinises his sonic material from its core in surprisingly enjoyable ways.
Abe Duque, jokingly refers to himself as 'one of the few producers still licensed to use the 303' compiles the recent spout of 'Rules For The Modern DJ' 12s as an album. From the pulsating acid-scapes of 'Paranormal Dejavu', bouncier dystopias 'The Future...', the eccentric 'Diabeto', a colourful yet sturdy mixbag.
Despite dubstep's inception into the commerical mainstream, Tectonic has never struggled with the follies of its ugly younger brother. Their fourth compilation since 2006 showcases bassweight cuts to footwork rhythmic finery, introverted explorations and plain sick tunes from Jakes, Distal, Pursuit Grooves and more.

Vancouver-born, Berlin-based Cobblestone Jazz member Mathew Jonson makes a further appearance on Crosstown Rebels after 2011's 'Dayz'. 'Automaton' propels forward with nimble whizzing synth stabs over hip-wiggling bass, whilst 'In The Stars' has a heady Balearic feel, his tactile production winning over.

Following up the upbeat tones of 'Council Flat Emptiness', The Black Dog's second Darkhaus sees 'Cracked', with Rob Hood-esque sinister minimalism and 'Broken Mind', gritty nudging dark techno entoiled in murky bass. The Regis remix sharpens its teeth over its bristling roar, tough tracks for the techno caverns of the world.

Jovonn's 1994 'Stump It EP' gets reissued by Mojuba, a timely injection of quality garage house tracks into today's dancefloors. Old school goodness as 'Garage Shelter' hazily shimmies and shines, 'Love Destination's vocals and deep grooves seduce, a Tuff City Kids remix rounds off with a true treat.

More impeccable post-Drexciyan armoury from incredibly productive Detroit native Sherard Ingram. 'Cryptic' a real killer, a deepsea bassline lurking under skull-tickling synth probes, 'Know Your Enemy' is a tightly-spun warcry softened with elastic pads, whilst 'Solitude' bounces with a gleeful swing.

Complementary to his recent output as half of Innerspace Halflife, homeboy Ike Release lets his Chicago roots shine through. 'Cosmic Supreme' tantalising galactical lusts, 'Spells' grooving closer to home whilst 'Westview' wraps a fiesty badass jackin' workout in soft candyfloss synth swaths. Awesome EP, don't miss.

Ahead of Steffi's hotly anticipated Panorama Bar mix, the first lot of exclusives appears. Headed up by Fred P (aka Black Jazz Consortium)'s busy yet smooth blissed out winder, Juju & Jordash's cheeky and hearty bumping bounce and Detroit's Big Strick gorgeously hazy 'Hayday'. Quality house for the lovers.
Electro house superstar Maceo Plex signs responsible for the most recent DJ-Kicks edition. As a tribute to his Mariel Ito alter ago Estornel starts out his mix with great electro by Bitstream, Voice Stealer and DJ Stingray, but eventually arrives at somewhat more commercial techno offerings.

Debut LP from Boris Bunnik under his electro alias Versalife sees him depicting the emptiness of his Friesland home. Drexciyan influences clear, yet Bunnik's own more muted deep sea dystopias, and weirder funk and hip-hop swing of 'Normal Behaviour?' and 'Emphasis' mix it up firmly in this decade. Truly wonderful stuff.
Zurich's Sacha Winkler has been pretty quiet on the releases of late, but upon founding his own Rumpelmusig label this year seems to promise a renewed magical musical playground. 'Independent Dancer' is a colourful riot of songs flirting with funk, soul, disco, folky vocals and plenty of humour, emotion and flair.
Jimmy Edgar, KiNK, Bambounou, Gingy and Funk D'Void are just a few of the artists remixing last year's Strip Steve album for Boys Noize, further steering the label away from its notorious new rave past towards tasteful, modern techno and bass slammers. Some excellent tracks on this one. Check!
