DFA issues a retrospective of New Yorks great disco-experimentalist Peter Gordon, who pioneered the fusion of dancefloor grooves, no wave, and avant-garde music during the 1970s. A highly diverse and entertaining album that's a must for all James Murphy and Arthur Russell fans.

Leading off a barrage of new DFA singles by a seeming bunch of newcomers (like Juan MacLean under his Peach Melba guise), Fall On Your Sword is original LCD Soundsystem guitarist Phil Mossman, who has teamed up with partner Will Bates for two tracks of epic slow-spun synthie disco. Nice.

Just their second proper release after 2008's acclaimed single on Italians Do It Better, the New York duo drop this one on DFA. 'In A Hole' an ultra-reduced, percussion and synth-teased tearjerker and 'Can't Feel My Knees' pulsing minimalist melancholy with brill dubs of both. Spectacular.

Barely in his twenties he set out for New York City with little more than a pair of Helmut Lang jeans and a bag of old disco records. The Big Apple welcomed the boy from the countryside with open arms however, and when Wolfram eventually relocated to Vienna, he had already made a name for himself as a DJ as well as many new friends in NYC's...

Washington-based tech-pop duo Benoit & Sergio are on a roll: After releases for Thesongsays and Spectral Sound they land on DFA for 'Boy Trouble', a sweet synth-pop song which is backed by the more laid-back 'Full Grown Man' and 'What I've Lost', as well as a Visionquest remix. Nice one.
