Mille Plateaux is back. The legendary German electronica label, which had closed it doors in 2004 after the collapse of its distributor EFA, has been relaunched with vinyl retailer Marcus Gabler at the helm. Gabler intends to revive the label's pioneering spirit with new artists and a new instalment of the influential 'Clicks & Cuts' series.
Subtitled 'Paradigm Shift', the fifth volume of 'Clicks & Cuts' is being presented in two separate parts - the actual '5.0' edition and the '5.1 Bonus Package', which includes alternate versions, out-takes and videos.

Mille Plateaux's return has been the subject of much discussion in recent weeks. All sceptics can now decide for themselves how well Mille Plateaux's new squad of young artists lives up to the label's weighty legacy. If we take Ametsub's lovely single 'Repeatedly' - and the excellent video that it comes with - as a benchmark, we're inclined to say, extraordinarily well.
