Duo 505 is the unlikely pairing of Viennese musicians B. Fleischmann and Herbert Weixelbaum. Fleischmann has been an integral part of the Morr Music family for well over a decade, creating lovely music on the boundaries of electronica and indie pop ever since his debut album 'Pop Loops For Breakfast' from 1999. Weixelbaum on the other hand initially made a name for himself as a chiptune wizard, creating elaborate handheld composition as a member of Vienna's Gameboy Music Club.

After their first release as Duo 505, the mini-album 'Late' from 2004, Fleischmann and Weixelbaum have once again joined forces for 'Walzer Oder Nicht' ('Waltz Or Not'), their new sophomore full length. This time around 8-bit sounds take a backseat to folksy guitars, which nicely complement the album's fragile instrumental electronica beats. The album comes with an equally charming video, created by Frank Ojode Pez.

The Viennese Duo 505 Bernhard Fleischmann and Herbert Weixelbaum asked themselves the question 'Waltz or not?' and appeared with this highly enjoyable electronic and instrumental fusion, extrapolating far from the Roland-505 in their name. Intricate and evocative with an opulent improvisational feel.
