Only 22 years of age Terstappen can already look back on an impressive history of solo recordings, including his 2009 debut album 'A Slave's Commitment'. For its follow-up Applescal has stepped up the abstraction level to provide an intriguing acoustic journey - doing away with straight beats for good, his sophomore full-length combines ambient and broken beat electronica with finely textured harmonic layers.

We also can't help but admire the ingenious choice of cover artwork, depicting an erupting volcano. Traum's timing could not have been any more spot-on with this one.
