Over a year in the making and a true labour of love, 'Animals - The Movie' is a stunning artistic achievement. Two hours of cutting edge animations transform Minilogue's cinematic techno and electronica soundscapes into a dream-like audio-visual masterpiece.

The film's main director and producer, New Zealand's Rob Zohrab, who has most recently worked on 'Avatar' with Peter Jackson's special effects company Weta Digital, draws inspiration from both Minilogue's cinematic sound aesthetic and their fondness of furry critters.

Fifteen fluently blended chapters employ a wide range of animation techniques, from computer renderings to Kristofer Ström's hand-drawn visuals for 'Animals' and 'Hitchhiker's Choice', Minilogue's YouTube hit, which features in the movie in an extended version. Additional contributors include Rupert Mackenzie, Jon Baxter, and Dylan Pharazyn, who each add their unique animation style to a work as outstanding and multi-faceted as Minilogue's music itself.

Video-Album released 15-02-2009 on Cocoon Recordings
With just under two hours of animated footage Minilogue's 'Animals - The Movie' takes the concept of a visual album to the next level. Still unrivalled in both quality and scope, this film is a must for all fans of electronic music and cutting edge visuals alike.
