Parisian avant-garde label Record Makers (Sebastien Tellier, Arpanet) has commissioned a video from British artist Anthony Burrill for the current single of its yet anonymous Acid Washed project, 'General Motors, Detroit, America'.
Known through iconic and contrast-heavy typography and graphic design work, Burrill translates his preference for simple geometric forms into a minimalistic animation of colourful psychedelia. Acid Washed's drawn out electro-disco serves as a perfect soundtrack for Burrill's hypnotic eye pleaser, and remixes by Gavin Russom, Black Strobe, Turzi, and - our favourite - King of Kong make this a well rounded, head-spinning package.
