Tokimonsta is L.A.'s Jennifer Lee, one of the brightest talents in the city's booming avant-garde hip-hop scene. A former student of classical piano and recent Red Bull Music Academy alumni, Lee combines both analogue and digital recording techniques to craft her intricately textured and largely instrumental beat collages.

At times hard-hitting and electronic, at others fragile and reflective, Tokimonsta's music was quick to attract the attention of cutting-edge UK-based labels Ramp and Black Acre, which have released Tokimonsta's recent 'Cosmic Intoxication' and 'USD' EPs, the latter being a collaboration effort with London's equally young and talented producer Blue Daisy.

Another prominent supporter of Lee's music is Flying Lotus, who signed Tokimonsta to his own label, Brainfeeder, for an album forthcoming in Spring 2011.
