Sometimes nick-named a 'chameleon' for the stylistic breadth of his productions, Roman Flügel is without a doubt one of Germany's most influential electronic music artists. Many of his solo recordings as Roman IV, Soylent Green and Eight Miles High, as well as his collaborations with long-time partner Jörn-Elling Wuttke as Alter Ego and Acid Jesus are regarded as classics.
Flügel's musical home-base are the equally influential Klang Elektronik and Playhouse imprints, for which he not only records, but also acts as an A&R. His latest project has been a mix album for the 'Live At Robert Johnson' series of Frankfurt's eponymous club. Two tracks from this mix, the Flügel-produced 'Brian Le Bon / N.M.I.S.M.D.', have been released this week via Robert Johnson's in-house label.

As a perfect sample of his eclectic taste, Roman Flügel has compiled an intriguing selection of his current favourites for zero", straight from his much-travelled record bag...
