Woolfy Woolfy Woolfy Music Producer (MP3 Downloads) Artist Eskimo Recordings
Simon James is the 35-year-old Scottish born musician and singer behind the alias Woolfy. In 1999 he met Dan Hastie in a run down bar in downtown LA and together the two started to make music under the name of Projections, influenced by dirty disco, funk, psychedelic rock and house music. Their first single on Chicago's Guidance label became a minor hit, ending up on many compilations, and the guys went on to record a full album as Projections, which created major waves in the electronic music scene. As Woolfy vs. Projections they have recently recorded the concept album 'The Astral Projections Of Starlight' for Permanent Vacation

California-based Woolfy and Projections further their collaborative efforts since 2008's 'Astral Projections' LP. The sensual Balearic vibe of the original gets taken for a spin thrice, by Swiss legend Lexx warmly revamping it, El_Txef_A sveltely tweaking and preening and The Drifter who nonchalantly grants it heady dancefloor pep.

Four years after 'The Astral Projections Of Starlight' Woolfy vs. Projections release their sophomore album, but while the 'The Return of Love's polished disco-funk is rendered confidently enough, it is an album that doesn't quite hit its stride until its more nocturnal and daring last third ('Set Me Loose', 'The Passage'). Check.
