Walls are a band from London made up of members Sam Willis (of Allez Allez) and Alessio Natalizia (of Banjo Or Freakout). Originally from Manchester, but based in London since '96, Willis has long been an admirer of the Cologne sound, instilling his productions (and DJ mixes for the influential Allez Allez podcast series) with the euphoric pop sensibilities and deep grooves that are a Kompakt hallmark. Natalizia hails from Vasto, Italy but relocated to London in 2008 to pursue his musical dreams - driven by the wild guitar of This Heat and propulsive rhythms of Can as well as Burial's inner city atmospherics and soul. The pair met in 2009 while Allez Allez were remixing Banjo Or Freakout's 'Mr. No', they quickly realized that the natural combination of Alessio's and guitar play and haunting vocals together with Willis' emotive synth lines and sample manipulation magic was a match made in heaven. Having already applied their unique sonic touch on remixes for The Field's 'Leave It' and Patha Du Prince's future anthem 'Stick To My Sid' the pair's highly anticipated self titled debut album was released on Kompakt in late April 2010.

One of those remix packages which just succeeds in every way, the shimmery lush tones of Walls' Coracle gets a wickedly dark touch at the hands of Holy Other, Voigt&Voigt and John Tejada reworking melodic textures, Perc's brasher reduction, Esperanza & Capracara rounding out the house & disco vibes.
