Comprised of Sebastian Blume, Jan Philipp Janzen, Phillip Tielsch and Christopher Marquez, Von Spar is a Cologne-based artist collective, who made first headlines with their debut album for Germany's legendary, and sadly departed, indie label L'Age D'Or in 2003. Their subsequent works started to incorporate more influences from krautrock and cosmic disco into their sound, culminating in their 2010 album 'Foreigner', which is a lovely journey into spaced-out, atmospheric electronic pop.

For their debut on IRR Cologne's cosmic-synth duo Von Spar tighten up the sound of their recent 'Foreigner' album a bit. 'Soarex' combines a slow-grooving electro beat with hypnotic chords and melodies, from which Ada constructs a nice straightened-out house mix. Strong showing.
